The Beach Club Barbuda will feature two beachfront tented accommodations at Princess Diana Beach.

Robert De Niro’s first luxury retreat in Barbuda will begin accepting early reservations in late 2026, providing an exclusive glimpse of the island’s most eagerly awaited resort ahead of its full 2027 launch. The Beach Club, Barbuda, jointly developed by the actor, will roll out bookings for two beachfront tented accommodations, blending premium service with the untouched splendor of Princess Diana Beach. This limited-release offering marks the first phase of a decades-long vision for the property.

The development covers two miles of Barbuda’s southwest coastline, an area where De Niro has held plans since the 1990s. The initial stay options, designed by Luxury Frontiers, consist of two fully staffed suites, each equipped with a king-size bed, a standalone soaking tub, and an outdoor shower. Unlike conventional resorts, the concept prioritizes exclusivity, with a private Nobu hospitality team handling customized dining, wellness programs, and guided excursions. The experience caters to small groups, ensuring an intimate connection with the island’s natural surroundings.

Guests can begin their mornings with breakfast served on shaded terraces, schedule in-suite massages, or venture into Barbuda’s waters via paddleboarding, kayaking, or snorkeling tours. The nearby coral reefs and secluded sandbars offer a serene alternative to the Caribbean’s busier tourist spots. Additionally, the Frigate Bird Sanctuary provides rare opportunities to witness the region’s most striking wildlife in their natural environment.

Dining forms a central element of the stay, with tailored menus from Nobu Barbuda, including beachfront grilling sessions featuring fresh seafood and private omakase experiences led by the resort’s executive chef. The site’s remote location, classified as a Class 2 dark-sky area on the Bortle scale, guarantees minimal artificial light, creating ideal conditions for night-sky observation.

The tented suites function as a preview of Nobu Beach Inn, the full-scale 36-room boutique resort scheduled to open in late 2027. The expanded property will reinforce Barbuda’s standing as a premium escape, renowned for its pink-sand beaches and preserved coastline. Unlike more commercialized Caribbean destinations, the island has resisted mass development, preserving its tranquil, unspoiled appeal, a key attraction for visitors seeking privacy and natural beauty.

Currently, the Under Canvas program delivers an insider’s look at the resort’s future direction, combining bespoke service with direct access to one of Barbuda’s most famous shores. Nightly rates start at $3,500, covering breakfast, a beachfront barbecue dinner, and non-motorized water activities. Reservations are restricted to The Beach Club’s early-access initiative, with no other booking channels available.
